| #1 Rule = Have fun! |
#2 Rule = Be respectfull to other drivers. We are all here for the same reason, to have fun and compete with one another. |
IMPORTANT
Starting in 2010....
Gun4sR membership will require a dues of $30.
These dues will be used to support the leagues infrastructure and racing format.New members will not be required to pay dues upon sighn up.We will let new members join a few races to get comfortable with our leagues structure. When that member decides they would like a membership here at Gunr4sR then we will except there $30.00
These dues will help attract members who are dedicated to the league.
Current members should understand the time and work that goes into creating a solid racing leaue.
This dues was always the initial design from day one. The idea was to prove to members in the first year what kind of leadership and product we could provide. The league still appreciates the donations., and hopes that will continue. Your donations can be directed to whatever resource you feel dedicated to help with.
We feel the entertainment value provided by Gunr4sR makes the $30 a real bargain for its member.
I will promise you that information about money provided to this league will always be transparent to its members.
This announcement is being made to allow members to make a decision before investing time and effort with a new racing mod.
Dues is required to participate in the years racing. Policy will be established for members joining for partial season participation. |
Double File Restarts
When you cross the start finish line with 1 lap to go before green you must have you're F2 screen up to see what position you are in. If you are in an odd postion 1,3,5,7 and so forth you must be on the inside. Even positions 2,4,6,8 and so forth you must be on the outside lane. Stagger behind the next position. 2nd place car Please let the leader cross the start finish line before you pass.
The leader has lane choice! And should anounce what lane they would like. From 3rd place on back must maintain the above Double File restart format. Again ONLY the leader can choose what lane they would like!
If any driver recieves a black flag for a restart please anounce to Race Control,it will be cleared. If you pass the next position on purpose before the s/f line it will not be cleared. Exceptions to this rule are as follows:
1.( If a car spins out in front of you and you have no were to go. )
2.( If a car breaks before s/f line )
3.( You warp out before s/f line you might recieve a black flag )
These will be some exceptions to this rule,we may have other ones as well. We will be understanding to these exceptions. |
Wave Around Rule
At Gunr4sR we will always do our best to mirror NASCAR, and in keeping true to that, we have been running the NASCAR's newly implemented wave around rule for sometime now. Please recognize that this rule doesn't always apply to every yellow, and we don't do an actual drive around the pace car while implementing it ourselves. It is easier for Race Control to implement by having wave around cars drive through the pits. Please familiar yourself with the info below. Race Control will always provide guidance during these situations, but members need to understand the details as well. NOTE: This rule will only apply when Jenna or there is a non racing admin available.
Definition of a wave around car....
--- A car that will be credited with 1 lap
--- A car that does not get to stop on pit row
--- Doesn't apply if the leader stays on the track
--- Doesn't effect the Lucky Dog recipient
--- All cars trapped in front of the pace car after the leader has pitted qualify for the wave around
--- Cars trapped in front of the leader do not have to take the wave around
- If not taking the wave around, pit as a normal lap down car would
Responsibility as a wave around car....
- Let Race Control know you are taking the wave around
- Follow Race Control instructions
- When driving through pit row....lead wave around car sets the pace
- All other wave around cars follow the lead wave around car
- Lead wave around car as driving through pit road stays behind start/finish, until the field has crossed start/finish
- DON'T STOP IN YOUR PIT STALL ! !
- It is the responsibility of you as a wave around car and other wave around cars to monitor this
- If you do stop, you will not be penalized if you notify Race Control. You will simply not be credited with a lap back
Responsibility as race leader....
- Let Race Control know when you are leaving pit road so she can release Lucky Dog
Race Controls Responsibility....
- Jenna will coordinate drivers through the caution process
- Jenna will credit laps back to the drivers ASAP
Modifications maybe made to this as drivers provide input. |
Lucky Dog Rule
1. Lucky Dog is determined and announced when yellow comes out.
2. Lucky Dog pits as normal and lines up normally.
3. Race Control will instruct the Lucky Dog when to pass low and go around the pass car. Of course the spotter will be hollering about passing the pacecar. Just disregard this and line up at the end. When the greenflag falls, the Lucky Dog will be given a blackflag for passing the pacecar.
NOTE: You must announce the Black flag to Race Control as the green waves. She will then clear the blackflag.
This is also more realistic like the real NASCAR. Just pass on the inside than on the outside. And don't spin out or wreck on your way around. This will also be a lot easier on Jenna (Race Control)
Racing back to the s/f line
UNDER THE YELLOW THE FIELD IS FROZEN
There will be no racing back to the start finish line unless there is less than 5 to go. Check F2 and mirror when slowing for cautions, and stagger behind the car in front of you under caution. Race Control should announce that there is less than 5 to go, and that racing back to the line is OK.
Warp
If you warp while you are racing and it causes you to be one or more laps down, Race Control will credit you your lost laps back. As long as you haven't left the server!!! You need to say "I need a lap for in game warp". This will be obvious based on other drivers seeing what occured. Race Control needs to get this approved. Be honest don't try and cheat the system. If a replay shows something different you will loose all points for that race. Make sure your honest. If drivers abuse this we will do away with it.
Loss of connection
Race Control will get you as close to the lead lap as possible,if and when the next caution comes out you will be placed on the lead lap.We can not put you on the lead lap right away, because that would be a big advantage for the guy that fell threw. Here is an example the #27 falls threw 20 laps into the race,he comes back into the server now 5 laps down, but he has a full tank + 4 new tires, then Race Contol gives him all the laps back.Once the other drivers pit and it cycles threw, then the #27 will be way out front, possible lapping some. This is why we may not give you all youre laps back at 1st.Be patient if you were on that lead lap before you fell threw, just hope and prey that
the yellow comes out.

Radio chatter
When Race Control is talking....stop all race chatter....NO EXCEPTION!
Halt all race chatter with one to go unless it pertains to important race information.
Halt all chatter after wrecks unless the chatter is related to helping other drivers get through the wreck. Drivers need to hear their spotter.
If an altercation occurs between two drivers....STAY OUT OF IT....its their business.
If you are talking under one of the desribed conditions and anyone ask you to halt the chatter please respond respectfully.
TS is a place to have fun and hang out. Use your head about when it is appropriate to BS. If you are asking someone to halt chatter so you can conduct race related business....do so in a respectful manner...."Hey guys the #27 needs TS"
- ONLY Race Control will comment on TS chatter during race. If Race Control feels things are out of hand, it will be handled.
We respect everyones need to focus during racing and understand there is a fine line between comments and conversation. All drivers please respect your fellow racers during green flag racing. Please keep your commens short, and keep your TS chatter to race related material. If you as a driver feel you are more sensitive to TS chatter, please ask someone to help you set a button to switch channels.
We will not have a boring dry league when it comes to TS. We don't want drivers to be timid about opening their mouth on TS during green flag or yellow. We don't want drivers to fear, if they say something, they will be demeanored or criticized. You have a right to express whatever emotion you want, in response to actual racing incidents, as long as you keep it short. During race night the following applies....if you don't have anything positive to say, then don't say it. Keep your negative opinions to yourself. |
Clearing Black Flags
Race Control will not clear your black flag, you have received it for a reason. Speeding in pits, not merging properly, and so forth.
There are some exceptions! Pay attention out there !!!!!!!!!!!!
Race Control will clear the following Black Flag Conditions:
Condition :1 >>>> The 1st car in the lead spins out taking the green flag on a restart, and a few cars have to pass on the inside. Drivers have no way to stop before crossing start/finish line. The game gives you a black flag for this.
Condition :2 >>>> The Lucky Dog gets a black flag for passing pace car. Race Control will clear a black flag in these instances.
Condition :3 >>>> When at a road coarse, you can request Race Control clear your black flag. Read Disclaimer for Condition 3 below...
Important Disclaimer for Condition 3:
You are required to tell Race Control what lap you aquired the black flag. You are required to provide a replay. Race Control will document this and your replay will be reviewed, if your car is seen doing anything that could be questionable (that deserves a black flag) you will lose all race points for that race. If you can't provide a replay, you will lose all race points for that race. If the replay shows you anywhere near pit raod entrance, exit, or pit road....you will lose all race points for that race.

Race Server Crashes
Race will be restarted with race length adjusted to best guess. The race can only be adjusted in 5% increments, therfore the restarted race % will not be less than best guess on laps. If a replay is saved - After a few minutes warmup, Race Control will go to race, and when the green is thrown, all drivers will maintain pace speed. Race Control will direct each driver into position. After everyone is in position, Race Control will throw a yellow. No one is allowed to pit during this process. The race will start on next green flag. NOTE: If you wrecked out, or retired before the game crashed, you will not be allowed to start new race. You will be given normal points, as if you finished at the rear. If multiple drivers retired, the replay will be used for point distribution.
If no replay - If evryone can agree on running order, Rcae Control will follow sequence described above. If drivers can't agree on running order the we will qualify again.
There will be five minutes for practice, before restart. If this issue is weather related then we will use the backup server, and the rules above will apply. |
League Philosophy
If drivers in this league don’t have the following views....then they are wasting their time here:
- Rookies
These guys should feel welcome. They should feel they are at a place they can grow as sim racers. They should not feel intimidated or scared to get on a race track. You should have confidence and faith in your league leadership. You should respect ALL drivers on the track. They should not be yelled at for doing something wrong. They should be mentored and feel they aren’t being a burden to the drivers they look up to. If they can’t feel this way then this league has failed them and this league will fail.
- Veterans / Speed Demons
You should feel honored to be part of something bigger than yourself. You should look forward to very competitive racing. You should have confidence and faith in your league leadership. You should set an example with your actions on the track. You should be respectful to ALL drivers on the track. You should be considerate to the drivers that are learning. You should feel proud of the accomplishments of drivers that are showing skills from the example you set as a racer. This means the investment of your time and energy will payoff in creating a very competitive racing environment for yourself.
This league was created for all these reasons. This is not a place for selfish drivers who only care about winning. There are plenty of leagues that have tried & died with this approach. Trophies and prizes are nice but the respect of fellow drivers is priceless. We are all on the same team & that my friends is Gunr4sR NR2003 sim Racing.

Racing Entities
How should I race the leader?
A driver who is about to be lapped by the leader should choose and hold their line. If your car is not handling well or off the pace, let the leader pass by unhindered. Try to maintain your current speed while giving the preferred line to the leader. If a driver is running speeds comparable to the leaders, then you can try to stay on the lead lap as long as you maintain your line. Remember to race them clean. Once the leader has passed, lapped cars should move high and let other drivers on the lead lap by. Whatever groove you happen to be in, hold your line.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- What is the best way to let faster cars by?
The best way is to send a chat to pass you low or use TS. Most guys are used to passing on the inside, with the car being passed on the out side. At first this may seem harder for the car being passed, but if you are on the outside you will carry more speed through the turns. If you go low you may have to slow it to keep from drifting up into the other driver or you could get down on the apron, and that could cause you to shoot up the track into someone. You should try practicing running the high line, at most tracks you can turn some close to normal lap times on the high side with some practice. When you get the hang of letting people pass low, you will find that you don't lose much time to them and can generally slip behind them coming out of the turn. Like anything else it just takes some practice. If being passed on the straights it is best to hold your line and let the car making the pass go around you.
----------------------------------------------------------
Under moderate damage what stays damaged and what doesn't? After I was involved in an accident I never could get back up to speed, even drafting!
As I understand it you can get the same type of damage from moderate as with realistic. The difference being that it is not as severe and does not take as long to repair, however you can still be damaged to the point that complete repair cannot be done.
--------------------------------------------------------------
What about Blocking?
There will be no blocking with more than 10 laps to go. If you are racing someone and they get their nose underneath you DO NOT cut them off, hold your line and race them clean! Failure to do so could result in a penalty. If you are racing side by side going into a turn, the driver on the inside must not drift up into the outside driver while in the turn, and must not drift out to the wall cutting off the outside driver when exiting the turn. The driver on the outside must take a higher line through the turn leaving a racing lane open for the inside driver, and must not come down, or cutoff the inside driver. Use your mirror and F2 key to see if a car is above or below you. If a car is somewhere alongside you, you must allow this car the line entering the turn. Simply, if a car gets alongside, you are to give him that line be it high or low. Hold your line.
